How to Create an Audience for SMS Marketing

In YourMenu, an Audience is a group of customers you wish to send SMS messages to.  Audiences are fully customizable and can be divide up in to segments.  For example, this can be all customers who have ever ordered or customers who have not ordered in the last 30 days.

To create an Audience for SMS Marketing:
  1. On the YourMenu dashboard, go to SMS Marketing > Audiences
  2. Click Create New Audience
  3. Give the Audience a Name (ex: All Customers, Customers Last 30 Days, Stale Customers)
  4. Under Rules, you can create different rules to make your target audience.  For example, to get all customers in the last 30 days:
    1. Click the + next to Match All
    2. Click Add Rule
    3. Select Order Placed under Field
    4. Select the Less Than < Symbol
    5. Enter 30
    6. Select day ago
  5. Once you've created your Rules, you can Preview Matches to see how many people match your Rules
  6. Click Create New Audience

Audiences can also be filtered by Number of Orders, specific Items/Categories Ordered, and even if they've ordered Delivery before.  You can combine multiple Rules and logic to create the perfect Audience for your message.
