How to Create New Modifiers and Modifier Groups
Let your guests customize their order with built in modifiers! Modifiers can be optional or mandatory selections that pop up AFTER a customer selects an item. The most common use cases for modifiers are toppings, size, fillings, and Build-Your-OwnTo get started, you'll need to create a Modifier Group. The modifier group is simply a group of individual modifiers. An example of a modifier group would be something like "Choose a Size" or "Pick a Protein."
- On the YourMenu dashboard, go to Menu > Modifier Groups and click Create New Modifier Group
- On the next screen, give the group a Name and specify if there is a Minimum or Maximum selection.
- Next, change the Availability to the correct choice
- Not Available = Won't show on POS or online
- Online Only = Will show online, won't show on POS
- POS Only = Will show on POS, won't show online
- Both = Will show on POS and online
- Click Create New Modifier Group
- A new screen will appear for Edit Modifier Group
- Start adding your individual modifiers
- For example, the modifier group is "Choose a Size." Under Add Modifier, type in "Small" for Name. Next, set the Price to "2.99". Click Add Modifier
- Once you've added all your modifiers, click Save on the bottom of the screen
