Important Security & Fraud Settings in Your Clover POS for Online Ordering

These settings are recommended to prevent fraud and cyber attacks on your ordering page.  Since Clover does not set any by default, you must go in manually to change them!

  1. Go to Clover Dashboard (on your computer)
  2. Go to Account & Setup
  3. Under Ecommerce go to Fraud Tools
  4. Under Address Verification System (AVS) click SHOW RULE and please enable:
    1. Postal Code does not match (when provided)
    2. AVS system error
  5. Under Card Verification Value (CVV) click SHOW RULE and please enable:
    1. CVV does not match (when provided)
    2. CVV cannot be verified (when provided)
  6. Under Transaction Limits click ADD RULE
  7. Select Number of transactions per card is greater than
    1. Set Limit to 5
    2. Set time period to 1 Day
    3. Set Transaction Type to All transactions
  8. Select Number of transactions per IP is greater
    1. Set Limit to 5
    2. Set time period to 1 Hour
    3. Set Transaction Type to All transactions
  9. Save
